Nathaniel & Emily
are getting married!
The San Francisco
Ferry Building
October 1, 2016
Ceremony at 6:00pm
Reception to follow

Flights

We'll be honest: flights can be pricey! Hipmunk is our favorite resource for flight searches, and we recommend booking early. The city's primary airport, SFO, is a hub for United and Virgin America, so these airlines often have the best prices. The venue is accessible via public transportation from both San Francisco and Oakland (OAK) airports!

Hotels

A block of rooms has been reserved for Friday and Saturday nights at Hotel Griffon, conveniently located across the street from the venue, at a rate of $229 per night. Reserve here by August 30 with the group code Barlow to take advantage of the rate or call 415-495-2100 and request the Barlow rate. Please note that the rooms are one bed only. If you need help finding accommodations with more beds, please get in touch!
We also recommend checking out Airbnb, which has a very active community in its home city! The link includes a $20 credit if you do not already have an account :)

Cars

Neither needed nor recommended! The venue and most major hotels in the city are accessible via public transportation from the airport. Parking at Hotel Griffon will be $51/night, and downtown parking is difficult. Uber and Lyft (or good old cabs) are great options for getting around the city.

Eat

We almost had the wedding here! One of our consistent favorites for both dinner and brunch.
Foreign Cinema
Home to Emily's favorite bite in the whole city! (Toasted walnut bread with burrata and mushroom-truffle honey) No reservations taken here. Pro tip: call ahead up to one hour in advance to put your names on the list remotely!
Beretta
Our favorite burrito.
El Farolito
Emily does not like hamburgers, but their veggie burger is great and the milkshake is not to be missed! Conveniently located in several spots throughout the city. We've linked to the one closest to the venue/hotel for convenience.
Super Duper Burger
The most difficult reservation to get in all the land! If you show up at opening with 2 people, though, you have a high chance of getting a walk-in table.
State Bird Provisions
The brunch wait here is consistently 45~60 min, but grab a coffee nearby and walk through the colorful and historic Haight-Ashbury neighborhood. It'll be worth it.
Zazie

Drink

SRO is the room in the back of OddJob where each cocktail is custom made depending on your mood and tastes. If SRO is not open, the front of house has a consistently delicious selection as well.
Oddjob/SRO
Classic SF dive with a great beer selection.
Zeitgeist
ABV
A gay sports bar in our neighborhood with an awesome drink list and the best nachos in the city!
Hi-Tops
An SF coffee staple.
Four Barrel Coffee
Yet another SF coffee staple.
Sightglass Coffee

See

Runs 60~90 minutes, leaves from Pier 39, and takes you under the bridge and around Alcatraz! There are a few different companies that run them, but we appreciate SF Sailing Co. for including beer.
Boat Tour on the Bay!
Stop by Wattle Creek Winery's tasting room here! We are members.
Ghirardelli Square
Our venue is home to an extensive and popular farmer's market on Saturday mornings.
Ferry Building Farmer's Market
Newly reopened after a three year closure for renovations!
SF MOMA
A short hike to an amazing view.
Corona Heights Park
Come for the people watching, stay for the lax enforcement of open container laws. For the true experience, grab a bottle of wine and some snacks from Bi-Rite Market down the block (cups available at check-out!). Option to wait in line for ice cream on the corner.
Dolores Park
Like Dolores Park but with less interesting people and better views.
Crissy Field/Marina Green
Send us to Colombia!
We fortunately already have most of the items we need for our home, so in lieu of a traditional registry, we would appreciate your help in making our honeymoon extra special and memorable! We have registered at Zola, where you can contribute to specific experiences over the course of our 12 day trip. There are also a few home goods on there if you feel so inclined :)
